Corey J. Wiggins

Corey’s practice focuses on general civil litigation with an emphasis on real estate, municipal and oil and gas laws. Corey is licensed to practice in the state courts of Michigan and the United States District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Prior to entering the field of law, he was an escrow officer and abstractor for over twelve years where he was responsible for overseeing multi-million dollar business sales and construction loans.

Corey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and serves as Treasurer of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association. He also serves on the Charitable Giving Committee and as Co-Editor of the Newsletter and is Chairman of both the Finance Committee and Traverse Area Referral Service for the GTLA Bar Association. Corey was Chairman of       the GTLA Young Lawyers Association from 2008 to 2010. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of Planning.

Corey resides in Cadillac, Michigan with his wife and three children and enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. His involvement with community is demonstrated by his service as Vice-Chairman of the Wexford County Planning Commission, Secretary of the Charter Township of Haring Planning Commission and as a member of the Charter Township of Haring Board of Review. Corey previously served an alternate member of the Charter Township of Haring Zoning Board of Appeals. He also volunteers for the Third Level Crisis Center pro-bono legal aid clinic and the McBain Rural Agricultural School band program. In the past Corey has volunteered as a judge for the Michigan Youth in Government Contemporary Issues Forum.
